Simon Oliver Hutchinson

He's here! Sims was born Monday night at 5:36pm. He weighed 8 lbs and 9 oz. He was 21 1/8 inches long and has a head full of black hair (he even has sideburns)!

We came home on Wednesday night and on Thursday, we found out that he has jaundice. He's been on a light therapy bed in our home since then. The boys were with Rick's parents in Gadsden and came home right when Sims was put on the bed so I still don't have a picture of all 5 children together. I plan to take one tomorrow, no matter what!

We are all doing well. We are tired but mainly thankful and full of joy at what the Lord has given us. I still can't believe we have 5 children. It's funny to see them all together crowded around their new little brother. Everyone loves him and I know he's going to fit right in.

Ok, I just took this one. It's blurry but at least they are all in it!

Maternity Portraits Part 2

I liked my last Maternity Portraits so much that I decided to splurge and have more done.

This time we included the baby's daddy and enlisted the help of another artist. SO, here I am at 34+ weeks:

The first is by Kate. Notice that Sims is clearly visible in this picture. I love that my thighs aren't touching. Please notice how happy that makes me. On the downside, I have no arms. I'm not quite sure what those 2 big square things are on Ricks' arms either....

The next is by Claire. Unfortunately, I appear to be 3 times the size of Rick and the baby is nowhere to be seen. I also only have 1 eye and again...no arms??

Things seem to be going downhill, so these may be the last pictures of me you see until after the birth...

And she's 5!

Today is Claire's 5th Birthday! I can't believe it! My baby girl is 5. That is so old. It makes me sad and happy at the same time. She said she had been "waiting her whole life to turn 5"! She is the most thankful and giving person I know. All day long she thanked me for everything, "this is the best lunch I've ever had!", etc. She is by far the most giving person in our family. She would give anyone anything and we could all learn a lot from her. For her birthday, she just asked that Rick take her to lunch by herself. I am more than grateful that the Lord has blessed her with 5 years and I pray he will give her a long life and that we may enjoy it with her.

Gifts for baby Simon

My sweet friend, Meredith, gave us these adorable little outfits for Sims. I absolutely love them! I can't bring myself to put them in his dresser yet so they are in our dining room so I can see them multiple times a day. :) I still can't believe I'll have another baby small enough to wear these.

Also, I have a friend who had her 4th baby last night and now I just can't WAIT to meet our little guy!
