Mommy's Talkin' Real Loud
I lost my voice Wednesday morning and have been whispering ever since. I have never lost my voice prior to this and it is strange to be unable to make a sound, but I have found it strangely peaceful. It is also humorous to converse with other people because they usually whisper back to you.
Anyway, the point of this post is to pass on yet another "Conversation with Kate". Peggy, Kate, Claire, and I went to lunch on Wednesday. Sometime later that afternoon, Kate came up to Peggy and said the following in a whisper and switching to a loud voice in the middle....
"Daddy's talkin' real quiet AND MOMMY'S TALKIN' REAL LOUD!"

Conversation with Kate
Here is a conversation between Rick and Kate (who just turned 2 a couple of weeks ago.)
While Kate was busy playing:
Rick: Kate! I like your new shoes! Where did you get them?
Kate: At the store
Rick: Did you buy them?
Kate: Yes
Rick: With what?
Kate: Money
Rick: Where did you get money?
Kate: From the bank
Rick: Who's account did that money come out of?
Kate: Peggy's
Hmmm...

"bells on bobtail ring" definitely confusing
Multiple people found our blog from google searches over the past week (a noticeable increase), and I wanted to see why the sudden rise in hits from google....The searches all centered around the phrase "Bells on bobtail ring".
If you search the phrase below, our blog is the #1 entry returned. I guess this provides a little vindication to my sister-in-law. She's not the only person confused by this phrase.

"Bells on bobtail ring"
This is a discussion from dinner tonight at the Catt house (Peggy's family):
Emma (Peggy's 15 yr. old sister): "In Jingle Bells, what does it mean when it says bells on bobtails ring?"
Sarah (Peggy's 25 yr. old sister): "BOB's TAIL! The horses name is Bob and the bells are on his tail."
The funniest part about this is that Sarah was dead serious and the pause of silence afterward made it a golden moment. After a short discussion, Jordan (the Catt mom) came to the rescue and explained that a bobtail is a "bobbed" tail which is a tail that has been cut short.
